BERGOGLIO TO USE OUR LORD'S GOOD FRIDAY PASSION TO FURTHER HIS AGENDA...

He was offered because it was his own will, and he opened not his mouth: he shall be led as a sheep to the slaughter, and shall be dumb as a lamb before his shearer, and he shall not open his mouth.  Isaiah 53: 7 - DRV

Unbelievable! Bergoglio uses our Lord's crucifixion to blast death penalty! Is this pope even A Christian... Compares our Lord's passion, suffering and death to slime of the earth, criminals and the 'unjust' death penalty!

A series of reflections to be used by Pope Francis in Rome on Good Friday make connections between the crucifixion of Jesus and the modern-day use of the death penalty.

The reflections, to be used by the pope at an annual public service in and near Rome’s historic Colosseum, pointedly ask: “When will the death penalty, still practiced in many states, be abolished?”

That question is part of a service known as the “Way of the Cross,” a type of liturgical service frequently celebrated by Christians on Good Friday. The service follows Jesus through different stations of his torture and eventual crucifixion, with reflections on his suffering at each point.

Good Friday, the day Christians mark the death of Jesus, is marked this year by the Catholic church and most western churches on April 3.

Francis will mark the occasion by presiding over a “Way of the Cross” service Friday night that begins in the Colosseum and continues onto Rome’s Palatine Hill. At each station of Jesus’ suffering, the pontiff and those attending the outdoor celebration will reflect using a text prepared for the event by retired Italian Bishop Renato Corti.

At the station that marks Jesus being nailed to the cross, Francis and the pilgrims will use a reflection that questions modern-day uses of both the death penalty and torture.

“We gaze at you, Jesus, as you are nailed to the cross,” states the reflection. “And our conscience is troubled.”

“We anxiously ask: When will the death penalty, still practiced in many states, be abolished?” it continues. “When will every form of torture and the violent killing of innocent persons come to an end? Your Gospel is the surest defense of the human person, of every human being.”

While Catholic teaching holds that the death penalty can be used in a situation where the public authority can find no other way to contain a dangerous person, the last several popes have said that such situations likely no longer exist.

Francis has been even more publicly opposed to the practice, saying March 20
"today the death penalty is inadmissible, no matter how serious the crime committed.”

Corti, who wrote the reflections for the Good Friday service at Francis’ request, was the bishop of the northern Italian town of Novara from 1990 until his retirement in 2011. He had previously served as an auxiliary bishop in Milan under the late Cardinal Carlo Martini.

The retired bishop’s reflections for the papal Good Friday service have a theme of God’s protective love for humanity. Throughout the service, the bishop presents some possible feelings and thoughts of Jesus during his suffering and then offers a “resonance” reflection for those present at the ceremony.
In another part of the service, Corti also connects Jesus’ suffering with persecution of Christians around the world. At the station that marks when Jesus was forced to carry the cross of his own crucifixion, the bishop says such persecution “has happened repeatedly throughout history.”

“In our day too, men and women are imprisoned, condemned and even slaughtered for the simple reason that they are believers or engaged in promoting justice and peace,” states the reflection. “They are not ashamed of your cross. For us they are wonderful examples to imitate.”

Pope Francis will become the first pontiff to address the US Congress after accepting an invitation to visit the White House.

US President Barack Obama will host the Pope on September 23, after extending an invitation during talks at the Vatican last year.

The White House said the president and the pope will continue a dialogue about poverty, the environment, immigration and promoting religious freedom.

Papal first: Pope Francis has announced his intention to address the US Congress during a stateside visit in September--which will make him the first pope to ever do so
‘The president looks forward to continuing this conversation with the Holy Father during his first visit to the United States as pope,’ a statement said.
The 78-year-old leader of the world’s Roman Catholics confirmed late last year that he would visit the United States to take part in a Catholic Church congress in Philadelphia.
During the trip, he will also address the United Nations in New York and become the first pontiff to address the US Congress.
Obama and Francis met for the first time at the Vatican in March last year in talks clouded by disagreements over provisions for contraception included in the US leader’s landmark health care reforms.

Obama has regularly spoken of his admiration for Francis, repeatedly praising the pontiff for his compassion and modesty.
‘As a champion of the poor and the most vulnerable among us, he carries forth the message of love and compassion that has inspired the world for more than two thousand years – that in each other we see the face of God,’ Obama said last year.
Francis is also widely credited with helping to kickstart the secret diplomacy between Cuba and the United States which culminated with the two Cold War rivals declaring a historic rapprochement last year.
According to a Vatican statement, Francis wrote letters to US and Cuban leaders and ‘invited them to resolve humanitarian questions of common interest, including the situation of certain prisoners, in order to initiate a new phase in relations between the two parties.’

5 Things President Obama Wants To Discuss With Pope Francis When The Pontiff Comes To Town
President Barack Obama is slated to meet with Pope Francis in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 23, and Obama already has a list of topics he hopes to discuss. In a press release Thursday, the White House laid out some of the president's ideal subjects for the talk, and said that Obama "looks forward to continuing" conversations he and Pope Francis began during their initial meeting at the Vatican in March 2014.

The topics on Obama's agenda are ones that both leaders have made top priorities in their careers thus far. Here's what he hopes to chat about with the pope:

Poor And Marginalized Populations

Pope Francis sits with children from the Anak-Tnk Foundation, a group that works to help homeless children and those living in the slums, in Manila's Intramuros district on Jan. 16, 2015.
Pope Francis in his 2013 Evangelii Gaudium:
"Each individual Christian and every community is called to be an instrument of God for the liberation and promotion of the poor, and for enabling them to be fully a part of society. This demands that we be docile and attentive to the cry of the poor and to come to their aid."
Obama in a 2007 speech to the Town Hall Education Arts Recreation Campus in Washington, D.C.:
“If poverty is a disease that infects an entire community in the form of unemployment and violence; failing schools and broken homes, then we can’t just treat those symptoms in isolation. We have to heal that entire community. And we have to focus on what actually works."
Environmental Stewardship

Obama and Deputy Energy Secretary Liz Sherwood-Randall talk about solar panels on the roof of the Department of Energy on March 19, 2015.
Pope Francis in his Feb. 9, 2015, homily:
"A Christian who does not protect creation, who does not let it grow, is a Christian who does not care about the work of God; that work that was born from the love of God for us. And this is the first response to the first creation: Protect creation, make it grow."
Obama in his 2015 State of the Union address:
"No challenge  poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change. ... The best scientists in the world are all telling us that our activities are changing the climate, and if we do not act forcefully, we'll continue to see rising oceans, longer, hotter heat waves, dangerous droughts and floods and massive disruptions that can trigger greater migration, conflict and hunger around the globe."
Religious Freedom

Pope Francis exchanges gifts with members of a delegation accompanying the Tunisian president during a private audience on Sept. 11, 2014, in Vatican City. Attendees discussed religious liberty and the rejection of all forms of violence and extremism.
Obama at the 2015 National Prayer Breakfast:
"The concern for the protection of [religious freedom] rights calls for each of us to exercise civility and restraint and judgment, and if in fact we defend the legal right of a person to insult another's religion, we're equally obligated to use our free speech to condemn such insults and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with religious communities, particularly religious minorities who are targets of such attacks."
Pope Francis at the 2014 "International Religious Liberty and the Global Clash of Values" conference in Rome:
"Religious freedom is not just a matter of thought or private devotion. It is the freedom to live -- both privately and publicly -- according to the ethical principles that are a consequence of the truth found."
Economic Opportunity
obama economy
Obama tours the Manufacturing Advocacy & Growth Network on March 18, 2015.
Obama in a Jan. 8, 2014, statement about the war on poverty:
"We must redouble our efforts to make sure our economy works for every working American. It means helping our businesses create new jobs with stronger wages and benefits, expanding access to education and health care, rebuilding those communities on the outskirts of hope and constructing new ladders of opportunity for our people to climb."
Pope Francis in his 2013 Evangelii Gaudium:
"Just as the commandment 'Thou shalt not kill' sets a clear limit in order to safeguard the value of human life, today we also have to say 'thou shalt not' to an economy of exclusion and inequality. Such an economy kills."
Immigration Reform
pope francis immigration
Pope Francis greets migrants during his visit to the island of Lampedusa, Italy, on July 8, 2013. The island is a key destination for tens of thousands of would-be immigrants from Africa.
Obama in a speech on November 21, 2014:
"We didn’t raise the Statue of Liberty with her back to the world, we did it with her light shining as a beacon to the world. And whether we were Irish or Italians or Germans crossing the Atlantic, or Japanese or Chinese crossing the Pacific; whether we crossed the Rio Grande or flew here from all over the world -- generations of immigrants have made this country into what it is. It’s what makes us special."
Pope Francis in his 2013 remarks on the tragedy at Lampedusa:
"These our brothers and sisters seek to leave difficult situations in order to find a little serenity and peace, they seek a better place for themselves and for their families -- but they found death. How many times to those who seek this not find understanding, do not find welcome, do not find solidarity! And their voices rise up even to God!"

The Terrible Price of Communion in the Hand!

Faithlessness: The Terrible Price of Communion in the Hand!!

Another sacrilegious scandal at a big Papal Pep Rally, this time in Manila. Why is the Vicar treated like God, while God is treated like a bag of Doritos? What part does the institutionalized abuse of Communion in the hand play in this ongoing outrage?

Sister Cristina : This is why I am singing “Like a virgin!”

No religious Sister
It has not been easy for many  to get used to the idea that a nun has won the TV talent show “The Voice”. For others, on the other hand, she has been a breath of fresh air. For everybody she is a complete novelty. Something to discuss, even at great length. Imagine what will happen when, from tomorrow, the public hears sister Cristina Scuccia on the radio singing her version of the controversial popstar Madonna’s hit “Like a Virgin”.
And, as this wasn’t enough, the song has been chosen to be the track to be released as a kind of calling card from her debut album, out in November all over the world. It will include versions of well known numbers, a couple of songs from the Christian music scene, two unreleased songs and the piece by Madonna.
Inevitably one finds oneself asking questions, such as: where did the idea come from? What is she trying to do? Does she realize that she may cause a storm? Not to talk about endless jokes and disapproval on social networks.About all this Sister Cristina has decided to talk exclusively to Avvenire, turning down requests for interviews from media all over the world in what is her first real interview. You can read it, in its entirety, in the edition out in newsagents today.
Who prompted her to sing “Like a Virgin” by Madonna? “I chose it. With no intention to provoke or scandalize. Reading the text, without being influenced by previous interpretations, you discover that it is a song about the power of love to renew people. To rescue them from their past. And this is the way that I wanted to interpret it. For this reason we have transformed this song from the pop-dance piece which it was, into a romantic ballad, a bit like the ones by Amos Lee. Something more similar to a lay prayer, than to a pop piece”.
Sister Cristina talks to Avvenire about her world debut (“I still don’t fully realize what is happening … I am 26. I am young. But I know I have a big responsibility. I have to give witness and I am happy to do it. Because I am excited to have met Christ and I would like everybody else to do the same”), about how her success at The Voice has upset her life so much that she has sometimes regretted participating in the talent show (“I feel the almost morbid curiosity of the media as a weight on my back”) and also about her insecurity (“If I listened to a part of me, I would hide myself”).
The interview gives a new, unprecedented insight into Sister Cristina and adds depth to the image she projects on television. Some will be surprised that she has not earned anything from the victory at The Voice, and she will not become rich even if she were to sell millions of copies of her album (“I made a vow of poverty: we will use all the money earned in the congregation’s projects”).
She says of Pope Francis “He is the best answer to whoever thinks that I shouldn’t sing on television”. And, talking about this, she unveils a dream (which you will find in the complete interview).

POPE FRANCIS ORDERS VATICAN TO CREATE FIRST EVER ART EXHIBITION TO PROMOTE CHRISLAM!!!

ImageVatican partners with Islamic museum for unique exhibition. For the first time ever, the Vatican is staging an unusual exhibition in the Emirate of Shajah. The show is seen as a sign of openness and cooperation between religions.

Ulrike al-Khamis has outdone herself. In a project that began six years ago, the art historian from Germany was tasked with bringing the extensive collections of the Emir of Sharjah into shape when the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization was renovated and re-opened. The exhibition she is now presenting in a sparkling domed building almost the size of a soccer field has exceeded expectations.
“It is the first collaboration of the Vatican with an Arab country,” said al-Khamis. Indeed, the exhibition is one-of-a-kind – not only because it presents excellent artworks but also because it furthers dialogue between Christians and Muslims.
A mashup of Western arts, Islam and Buddhism
The artworks on show from the Ethnological Museum of the Vatican stem from the 12th to the 19th century, but also include valuable objects from everyday life in the Arab world. Vases and bracelets, seals and armor, tapestries and precious daggers are on display. All the works come from the Islamic region between Morocco and Sudan all the way to Western China, but are now owned by the Vatican.
Many of the objects embody the dialogue between the Muslim and Western worlds. There’s a dime-sized Koran produced in a print shop in Glasgow, and yellow mugs from Western China that bear an Arabic inscription surrounded by lotus flowers, which are a Buddhist symbol.
“We had only one year to prepare this show,” said Ulrike al-Khamis. When the German art expert began advising in Sharjah, one of the emirates of the United Arab Emirates, she did not know what she was getting herself into.
“I traveled to Rome with my colleagues. We, the experts from Sharjah, and some Christian art historians searched the chambers of the Vatican together and discovered several pieces that had never been exhibited before,” she recalled.
The result is a unique show in Sharjah that presents a comprehensive look at Islam.
